Michael Weingartner

Michael Weingartner has done just about everything in the entertainment business except receive an invitation to the Vanity Fair party on Oscar night. He can list a little bit of everything in his credits: Producer for NBC, Commentator for VH1 and A & E, Horror film star, Online host, Stand-up comic with international credits, Sirius Satellite Radio host and he was even a Russian auto mechanic on the short-lived sitcom "Make it Hot".

Weingartner is known for his ability to slip into any role, channeling the personas of the famous, the infamous and the imaginary with pitch-perfect skill. The ability to be both funny and provocative with his characters earned him a spot in the finals of the prestigious Andy Kauffman award competition at the New York Comedy Festival.

Weingartner's current Sirius colleague and former SNL star Jim Breuer recently said, "...is SNL, or somebody going to snag this guy up?" Hopefully that "somebody", will not be the Illuminati. Weingartner hosts the weekly show "Sounds from Space", on Sirius Comedy. Under the guise of a character named Fake Carl Sagan, Weingartner takes listeners through the galaxy while playing comedy bits. A-List guests pop by to talk cosmic comedy as well, including David Duchovny, Bill Nye the Science Guy and Buzz Aldrin.

Weingartner is also a frequent contributor to "The Judith Regan Show", "Jim Breuer Unleashed", and "The Alternative Comedy Show", all of which air nationally on Sirius. You can also see/hear some of Weingartner's work on Huffington Post/236.com. From his work with Huff Post, Weingartner received quite a bit of notoriety from his "John McCain Voicemails", which were a viral smash in the early fall, and earned Weingartner a write-up in Wired. John McCain "the character", was indeed good to Weingartner, as Senator McCain was also the inspiration behind "John McCain: A Long Day's Journey into Vietnam", a half-hour radio special which also aired nationally. In this special presentation, Weingartner appeared as McCain, Ira Glass, Dan Rather, Rudy Giuliani and several fictitious personages with frightening accuracy. Weingartner continues to write/produce for both on-air and digital clients, and he just wrapped an exciting new pilot that he appeared in and also co-produced.

The unmarried 30-something Weingartner is originally from Washington, DC. He has a weakness for brunettes, football, bacon, panda cubs and the movie Flash Gordon.
