Eric Deskin is a NYC and LA based actor and standup comic. Recent credits include episodes of "Elementary" on CBS, HBO's "Bored to Death", "Ugly Betty" on ABC, and "Rescue Me" on FX. Recent film credits include "The Longest Week" opposite Jason Bateman and "Excuse Me for Living" opposite Wayne Knight. He has also appeared in many national and regional commercials and print campaigns including those for Nexium, Apple, Cablevision, British Airways and Post Cereal.
As a comic, he appears at comedy clubs, theaters and other venues around the country and is a regular at the Broadway Comedy Club in NYC. His comedy has been described by "Back Stage" as "edgy, observant and funny . . . the sort of brainy observations you wish you'd thought of . . . ."
A New York native, Eric is a former corporate attorney and "practiced" at one of New York's oldest and most venerated white-shoe law firms, now defunct. Though that firm's demise was not his fault, ask him for legal advice at your own peril. A hockey fanatic, he once dreamed of playing in the NHL, but realized his lack of size and skill might be a hindrance. Nonetheless, he still enjoys mixing it up on the ice regularly and once scored a goal on a one-timer off a pass from Tim Robbins. Visit him on the web at www.ericdeskin.com.
