After graduating from the University of Oregon, Margie moved to New York City where she tried standup on a whim and loved it. She now lives in Los Angeles, where she co-hosts the popular standup show “French Toast” at Taix. She produces storytelling and standup shows at the Zephyr Theatre on Melrose, and has acted in sketches for Comedy Central’s “Important Things With Demetri Martin.” This April, she will perform at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival for the second time. She used to go by Margie Kment, but recently got married and changed her last name to Mintz.
Her comedy is true, personal stories that people either relate to or say “I’m so glad I’m not her.” Sometimes people say she reminds them of a young Catherine O’Hara, but most often, “She reminds me of my little sister.”
