LA Weekly called Penny Starr, Jr., “a delightful sexpot.” She is the granddaughter of Philadelphia burlesque legend Penny Starr. In 2004, Penny Starr, Jr., became the first runner-up at the annual Miss Exotic Word Burlesque competition. She is the director of the documentary The Velvet Hammer Burlesque; founder of All-Star Burlesque Classes; and producer and director of Los Angeles' own high-fallutin', low brow variety show, Victory Variety Hour at Skinny's Lounge.
