Cooper Barnes is an actor and comedian from suburban Michigan, where there is apparently nothing to do but create a repertoire of silly voices and impersonations. He studied theatre, film, and fine arts at Eastern Michigan University and worked professionally at Ann Arbor’s Performance Network theatre (where he won an Oakland Press Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in “Wit”) and Detroit’s Gem Theatre under the direction of Jeff Daniels. Since moving to LA, he has appeared in several indie films and TV shows, including “Californication”, “Frank TV”, "Victorious", and “The Perfect Host”.
As a member of the award winning sketch group Frog Island, he has produced and won several shorts as part of NBC’s “It’s Your Show” competition, accumulated millions of hits on Youtube, and performed at many live venues, including Westside Eclectic, The Comedy Central stage, and the Hollywood Improv.
Cooper co-wrote and produced the sketch comedy pilot, “Loading Zone”, which won Best Variety Show at the Independent Television Awards, and recently co-wrote the new pilot “Paranormalcy”, a contender in the Paranoia Horror Festival. He has written webseries content for both Babelgum and Ztudio productions, and co-produced the Hollywood Comedy Fest. He has also killed 27 people in the San Fernando Valley since 2006. He is repped by Omnipop Talent Group.
