Vicki Wagner was born in Chicago, IL to two bikers in the Devil’s Disciple’s Motorcycle Club, which is a franchise of the Hell’s Angels. Her parents did not worship the devil- they just wanted to sound scary- kind of like the Gay Republicans. Growing up with such characters as Rat, Snake and Mad Man Moe, she developed a rare insight into a world most fear. After years of observing her crazy family and their outrageous outlaw friends, she was sent to a Catholic School in a twist of irony. She did not fare well, as she was a blue-collar outcast in a world of nasty middle class students. After braving years in this mismatched environment, she joined the United States Air Force and received a Top Secret Clearance.
Traveling to Mississippi, Texas, Nebraska, and Washington was certainly an adventure until she kissed a girl. After undergoing 9 months of a humiliating investigation, she was “labeled” a homosexual, threatened with 5 years in prison for being a threat to national security and was kicked out of the military.
Crawling back into civilian life, she paid her rent by waitressing and bartending. Not feeling she had enough abuse, she became a dealer in a casino and dealt Blackjack, Roulette and Caribbean Stud Poker to a sea of angry immigrants who blamed her for losing all their money. To keep them from killing her, she continuously entertained her captive audience.
Taking a cue from the laughing gamblers, she realized she yearned to get on a stage and entertain the masses. She moved to LA and took a Comedy Workshop that changed her life. An audience favorite, she has been featured on the radio, in several newspapers, and on TV. You can see her on the Internet, hosting Lesbian Knows Best, giving advice to straight people, which they desperately need, or on her public access show, The Vicki Wagner Show, bringing her zany characters to the rest of the world.
Vicki is also the author of the books, “Get a Date Today, How to Market Yourself for Love” and “Get a Gay Date Today, How to Market Yourself for Love” which she wrote after realizing how many lonely people there are who have no clue how to get a date. These books are incredibly informative and outrageously funny, allowing readers to easily read the content while learning how put their best foot forward and find love.
She has appeared on stages across the country and performed at such comedy clubs as The Comedy Store, The Improv, The Comedy Union and many more, as well as headlining fundraisers, private events and Emceeing gay pride events.
