My name is Christopher Edwards and I was born and raised in Chicago. Which means I have a character fattened by deep dish pizza and beer but then quickly chizled by icy winds.
I've been a student of Improv Comedy since I was a child. Performing in many teams and studying in many different schools around the midwest. While in Chicago I performed in sketch and Improv shows produced by pH Productions; such as, 'pHamily the Musical" and "pHrenzy". In 2008, I created/wrote/performed in The Guy Show, an audience favorite sketch show that ran for 10 weeks at Stage Left Theater and was accepted into Chicago's Sketchfest. I also hosted and was Assistant Producer for the Televised/Web hosted College Improv Tournament during the Chicago Improv Festival. In 2009, I wrote songs for and Directed "Rubbed: The Musical", a much less audience prefered rock-opera about a Stoner down on his luck.
It wasn't until I moved to Los Angeles, CA and found that Improv classes were ridiculously unaffordable that I turned my attention to Stand Up Comedy. Since being here I've performed at the Improv, The Comedy Store; Main Stage and Belly Room andThe Spotlght Lounge. Having always loved stand up comedy, I find it to be an honor to simply stand where greats such as Richard Pryor, Louis C.K , and Dave Chappelle have stood before.
Chris can be seen performing regularly with his Improv Team "Value Menu" at iO west where they host an Improv Show every other Saturday in the DCT and Hosting the The Gauntlet Open Mic on Wednesdays in Westwood.
