Casey Wilson stars as “Penny” on the ABC sitcom Happy Endings. For her work on the show’s second season, she was recently nominated for a Critics’ Choice Television Award in the “Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy” category.
Previously she was a featured player on Saturday Night Live, and her other TV appearances include guest starring on HBO’s Bored to Death, MTV’s Human Giant, Adult Swim’s NTSF:SD:SUV, as well as voiceover work on the HBO animated series The Life and Times of Tim and the Nick at Night show Glenn Martin, DDS.
Her film credits include Christopher Guest’s For Your Consideration and Nora Ephron’s Julie and Julia. She can next be seen in the upcoming Paramount film The Guilt Trip starring Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand.
Variety has called Casey one of the “Top 10 Comics to Watch.” ??She hails from Alexandria, Virginia and is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. After graduation, she co-wrote and performed (alongside her best gal pal June Raphael) in the two-woman sketch comedy show "Rode Hard and Put Away Wet" at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York and L.A. The show ran for eleven months and was an official selection of HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, and was listed as a Critic's Pick in TimeOut NY. ??
Casey and June’s comedy partnership has branched out into an active screenwriting career. They co-wrote the movie Bride Wars starring Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson, and were hired to write a draft of The Bachelorette, a feature in development at Universal with Ruben Fleischer attached to direct. They were also hired by Endgame Entertainment to work on the script for the romantic comedy You Complete Us.
As writer/performers, Casey and June continue to generate their own material. They wrote and starred in the female road trip indie comedy Ass Backwards, which also features Vincent D’Onofrio, Alicia Silverstone and Jon Cryer. The film is currently in post-production.
Fot television, the pair wrote the ABC comedy pilot Walk of Shame, produced by Will Gluck. Casey continues to perform live. She co-starred in “Love, Loss, and What I Wore” by Nora and Delia Ephron at New York’s Westside Theatre, and is a regular at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in LA, appearing in various comedy shows including “Worst Laid Plans (True Stories of Terrible Sex)” and “The Realest Real Housewives.”

Casey and her family run the Kathy Wilson Foundation (kathywilsonfoundation.org) established in 2005 to honor her late mother’s work assisting children with special needs.
