James Davis is hilarious and arguably one of L.A.’s hottest comedians. Born and raised in South Los Angeles, James was blessed with comedic inspiration from his friends and past classmates from Crossroads High School in Santa Monica. Still considered one of the fresh faces in Hollywood, James has appeared in Hell Date, Russell Simmons Presents Stand Up at The El Rey, Pit Boss and written for the last six BET Awards and last five BET Hip Hop Awards. He also was a writer for Season 2 of Hell Date and a consultant on The Tony Rock Project. When he’s not stealing the spotlight on stage, James also performs at colleges and universities across the nation. He has hosted rap/comedy concerts featuring Drake, Big Sean, J. Cole, and Ryan Leslie.
James is not only winning fans on stage and screen; he’s winning fans on the internet as well. His parody Baracka Flacka Flames – Head of the State was named #2 viral video of 2010 by AOL and has over 10 million views on the web. The popular spoof even landed James on Inside Edition and The New York Times. Since then, James has released numerous viral sketches on YouTube and become a regular on Will Ferrell’s Funny Or Die website where he gained notoriety for his Kobe Bryant Parodies. James recently has become a regular on the E! channel’s Chelsea Lately, has a re-occuring role on BET’s Real Husbands of Hollywood, and will appear in the return of Nick Cannon’s Wildn Out and Lil Duval’s “Ain’t That America” on MTV 2 this summer.
Adam can next be seen in the upcoming Columbia Picture's revival of GHOSTBUSTERS and the reboot of the popular sketch show MADtv on The CW. He currently co-hosts the new TBS comedy game show "Separation Anxiety," as well as the popular podcast "About Last Night," which has featured guests including Melissa McCarthy, Susan Sarandon, and Dana Carvey. His comedy sketches have garnered over 30 million views on YouTube and Funny or Die. Adam previously appeared in Paul Feig's Fox feature, SPY (starring Melissa McCarthy) as well as Paul Feig's THE HEAT, where he plays the villain opposite Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. He was also featured as a writer and stand up on Comedy Central's second season of ADAM DEVINE'S HOUSE PARTY.
