When DARREN CARTER takes the stage, he takes the audience with him. A whirlpool of impressions and observations with on-point improvisation keeps the crowd rolling through the night, and on through the morning if they’re lucky…Featuring MURRAY VALERIANO (Comedy Central, NBC, MTV, VH1, CMT)
Darren amazes and amuses audiences with his blend of unique multicultural comedy. Adopted into a foster family in Fresno, his parents are Caucasian and his two sisters are Native American and Latina. Growing up in a racially mixed, blue-collar neighborhood, Darren definitely stood out with his red hair and black framed glasses, but went from nerd to cool when he became a rapper and breakdancer. He sees himself as a "fish out of water" and this is the core of his accessible comedy.
He has appeared on numerous TV shows including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and BET’s Comic View. He was also in the film Be Cool starring John Travolta. He performed as part of “Latin Palooza” with fellow comics Alex Reymundo (The Original Latin Kings of Comedy), Willie Barcena (The Tonight Show with Jay Leno) and Joey Medina (Loco Comedy Jam). He also appeared on Showtime’s LatinoLaugh Festival.
As soon as Darren Carter (‘The Party Starter’) takes the stage he unleashes a captivating flurry of impersonations, observations, and off-the-wall social commentary that is a comedy experience unlike any other. Darren’s contagious charm and vivid imagery paints a picture, both relatable and unique. No wonder critics nationwide are calling his act ‘a must see’.
With brilliant delivery and an animated style, Darren Carter captivates a crowd and leaves his audiences rolling with laughter, while begging for more. The Los Angeles based comedian has performed all over the world and is a fan favorite at the nation’s most prestigious clubs including the Laugh Factory, Hollywood Improv, and Comedy & Magic Club, to name a few. On the live performance front, he recently rocked the stage in front of 20,000 fans at L.A.’s prestigious ‘POWER 106 Comedy Jam’ alongside Katt Williams, Carlos Mencia, and Russell Peters.
Hip-hop superstar Snoop Dogg spotted Darren Carter on television doing his dead-on impersonation of the rapper, which led to performing multiple times at Snoop’s annual family reunion.
The party doesn’t stop there. After appearing in the summer blockbuster ‘Be Cool’ with John Travolta Darren continues to make appearances regularly on television. Whether it’s Comedy Central, BET, NBC, or E!, Darren appeals to a wide audience. And if you think you are hearing Darren’s voice, don’t worry, you aren’t going crazy! He’s been using his dynamic abilities for a number of voiceover roles, including Activision’s top-selling video game, ‘Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland’.

As a kid, I always liked comedy and would listen to albums by George Carlin, Bob Newhart, Bill Cosby, and Lenny Bruce. Despite my enjoyment of these great talents, I decided to pursue an unfunny career and left Los Angeles for San Francisco State College to be a lawyer. When that did not hold my attention, I switched majors and ended up getting a Bachelor of. Art Degree in Communications.
