FAQ:
Q: When does the mic take place?
A: The open mic is every Wednesday, sign up is from 7:00pm to 7:15pm. It will start at 7:30pm. If it is cancled for some reason that date will be taken off the website.
Q: How does it work?
A: Comedians will sign up either via receipt from the bar or slips of paper provided. They will be chosen via a bucket lottery. More reciepts are picked than regular slips of paper. Each comedian will have a TIGHT 4 minutes and recieve the light at 3 minutes.
Q: Am I gaurenteed to go up?
A: No typically there is not enough time to get everyone up.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Although the bar/food will be available there is NO COVER, NO MINIMUM PURCHASE.
Q: Is this how I get booked at the club?
A: This is not an audition for the club that being said you never know who is watching and people have been booked from this open mic. You are encouraged to do your best material.
Q: I am from out of town and have been doing comedy for years can I get a spot?
A: No one cares, welcome to LA, sign up like everyone else.
Q: I am under 21 can I come to watch or perform?
A: No, this club is 21 and up.

As a kid, I always liked comedy and would listen to albums by George Carlin, Bob Newhart, Bill Cosby, and Lenny Bruce. Despite my enjoyment of these great talents, I decided to pursue an unfunny career and left Los Angeles for San Francisco State College to be a lawyer. When that did not hold my attention, I switched majors and ended up getting a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications.
