Jenny Yang: http://www.JennyYang.TV Jenny Yang is a Los Angeles-based writer and stand up comedian who entertains indie, comedy club and college audiences with her biting social commentary and high-energy stage persona (jennyyang.tv @jennyyangtv). Jenny is a featured comic on Joan Rivers' 2013 Showtime documentary "Why We Laugh: Funny Women,” where she shares the joys and traumas of being a female comedian alongside such comedic heavyweights as Whoopi Goldberg, Kathy Griffin, Janeane Garofalo, Tig Notaro, Lily Tomlin and Aisha Tyler. Born in Taiwan and raised in Southern California, Jenny was a top three finalist of the California’s Funniest Female stand up comedy contest, and has performed at The Comedy Store, Improv Comedy Club and The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Jenny is also a producer of the first-ever all female, Asian American standup comedy tour, Dis/orient/ed Comedy, which has successfully sold out theaters and comedy venues around Southern California, the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest, and brought standing-room only shows to colleges and universities throughout the country (disorientedcomedy.com). Jenny’s story and writing have been featured on the award-winning blog on Asian American issues, angryasianman.com, social media platforms for the Hulu-original pop culture series “The Morning After,” and “ISATV Weekly Rewind” a comedic video review of the week's pop culture produced by international music superstars Far East Movement, and Wong Fu Productions, owners of one of the most-subscribed channels on YouTube. Before her start in comedy and while most of her peers engaged in reckless behavior for sport, Jenny dedicated herself to the Los Angeles labor movement, graduated top of her class in political science at Swarthmore College, and was a PPIA Fellow for a Master’s in urban planning at UCLA. for booking inquiries: contact@jennyyang.tv For booking & questions: contact@jennyyang.tv

Based on her writing and acting, she was selected to be a part of the ABC Comedy Development Showcase where she was named "Hottest new writer".
