Shana Farr is a singer/actress who has performed on New York stages, including New York City Center, in operetta and musical theater, as well as in the intimate world of cabaret appearing at Feinstein's, Laurie Beechman Theatre, the Kranzberg Arts Center, and more. Shana has received rave reviews for many of her performances as leading roles with New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Village Light Opera Group, for her solo work with orchestras throughout the U.S., and for her cabaret performances. Frank Scheck of the New York Post says Shana Farr's performance at New York City Center was "Best of all. In the leading role, this beautiful, young performer delivered a polished and vocally radiant turn." As a kid, I always liked comedy and would listen to albums by George Carlin, Bob Newhart, Bill Cosby, and Lenny Bruce. Despite my enjoyment of these great talents, I decided to pursue an unfunny career and left Los Angeles for San Francisco State College to be a lawyer. When that did not hold my attention, I switched majors and ended up getting a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications.
