Hollywood Comes to Pasadena is a six act comedy show, featuring top tier comedians and entertainers, along with Mystery Guests, who will drop in to do a set and surprise the audience.

Before the show, Ice House guests can hang out on our newly redecorated patio to enjoy “close-up” magic and sleight of hand wizardry performed by magicians and illusionists from Hollywood’s famed Magic Castle.
We also have a new back-drop for guests taking photos, with velvet ropes and a prop mic...perfect for immortalising your night at The Ice House

After each show, guests who purchased admission will get to spin our “Gift Wheel” to win a FREE prize, like ICE HOUSE swag, stuffed polar bears or a free stay at the glamorous HOTEL CONSTANCE!

These shows are sponsored by our neighbor…Pasadena’s HOTEL CONSTANCE.

Paul Morrissey:

Paul was raised as a sports fanatic in the tiny town of Owego, in upstate New York. After four years of playing college basketball, somehow he graduated. Aside from playing in the NBA, his dream job was to talk about sports for a living. Paul then moved to California after landing a television sports anchor job but found out quickly that he was “too much of a smart-ass” for TV news. After he was fired, Paul took his unique sense of humor to comedy club stages all over the country. In 2005, Paul was selected to perform at the HBO Comedy Festival in Las Vegas. Morrissey has also been a finalist in several national comedy competitions including Wendy’s Comedy Challenge, Comedy Central’s Open Mic Fight and Maxim’s Real Men of Comedy. Morrissey’s big break came in June 2006, when he made his network television debut on “The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson” on CBS. He was so well received that Paul has been asked to return three more times to the show. Morrissey’s four appearances are the most by a comedian on “The Late, Late Show” during the past year. The recent TV exposure has put Paul in high demand as a headliner at clubs and colleges across the US and Canada. He also performs frequently at The Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, Laugh Factory, The Hollywood Improv, and The Icehouse in Pasadena. Morrissey has also released two CDs,”Good Seats Still Available” and "Comedy Sampler" which get regular airplay on both XM/Sirius Satellite Radio. One reviewer says, “When an experienced comedy fan is repeatedly surprised by the payoff or where the jokes land, you know you are listening to an original comedic talent.”

Karen Rontowski:

Karen Rontowski’s fast-paced, quirky and charmingly optimistic comedy has been featured in clubs, TV, radio, and at corporate events all around the world. Her stand-up showcases endearing, self-effacing and intelligent characters that catch you by surprise every time. Karen uniquely blends comedy with her experience as a Paranormal Investigator, Tarot and reiki master.

She is fascinated with the “afterlife” is convinced she will someday have a near death experience because, “I never finish anything.”

She explains, “Sometimes a ghost will just do the same thing over and over in life. That's why I want to move into a house that is haunted by a maid."

Karen has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, Sirius Satellite Radio, Comics Unleashed, Comedy.com, Live at Gotham, Comedy Central and Mysteries of the Unexplained.  You can see her new special called Ridiculous Me on VidAngel.com.

After performing and hosting at paranormal conventions all over the world she created the hilariously odd web series Paranormal Karen where she has fun reporting from haunted and obscure places everywhere.

Karen’s comedy is now featured in the new line of greeting cards called “Frank and Funny” sold at Target stores everywhere and is the comedy writer for “Haunted Magazine.” She is a regular on the Bob and Tom Radio Show and is a featured performer on their CD.
